Windows Version 10 Upgrade issue

Good Afternoon,

Hope all is well

My PC's Original version is Windows 10, I have been using Windows 11 since it was released.

However, I have been facing difficulties updating my Windows 11 with the current update this month, As much as I click the Download & Install button.

It does not update at all, I have run some diagnoses as well:

  • CMD> scannow
  • Windows troubleshooter (does not mention the specific issue)
  • rebooted repair

Still, the issue occurs...

At the same time, my file explorer has been crashing. Whereas I cannot seem to have the delete/copy & paste options

I have tried right-clicking a document as well, but it ends up crashing the file explorer.

I assume this may be because I haven't updated my windows.

Please find attached screenshots and images for your reference

PS: I'm afraid I initiated the update before(7 days ago), Unfortunately, my PC shut down in the middle of the update due to the low battery of my PC causing this issue.

I do not wish to reinstall Windows as well, for I have a lot of applications to reinstall 😔

Looking forward to your team's assistance at the soonest

Ken Vibar.

You seem to have the Windows 10 File Explorer inside Windows 11, with the errors you describe, your Windows system seems to be very corrupt, the best option would be to perform an n-place repair with the Windows 11 ISO

Please follow the steps, this is then just an update and your personal files, settings and installed software will not be affected.

    Click this link:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

to download the Windows 11 ISO

When the ISO file completes downloading

    Disconnect from the Internet

Disconnect all external devices with the exception of a mouse or keyboard.

Temporarily disable any 3rd party Anti-virus you may have installed

Then, in Windows File Explorer, double click the ISO and then run Setup.exe and select the upgrade option.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    1

Your system is fully up to date, KB5029351 is an optional Preview update that does not need to be installed, you should just click the X on that update.

    2

In File Explorer, open a folder and select any file or folder, please provide a screenshot of your File Explorer window.
