Started happening a few months ago. Screen goes black out of nowhere and PC just restarts. Happens once or twice a day... Recently, I started getting the green screen of death as well (no text, just green screen). With the green screen it just freezes so I have to hold down the power button and restart it manually.
I tried all kinds of things I saw online (updating drivers, turning off auto-restart, turning off fast startup, etc). But it still happesn...
But today, I tried something different.
I noticed this usually happened to me when I was wathching videos on my laptop (youtube, VLC,).
So today I got to work but wihout playing any kind of videos on my computer.
And so far (it's been about 2, 3 hours), PC seems fine... No random restart yet.
Does this mean it's got something to do with my GPU?
What can I do to fix this? (I watch and edit videos for work so, I really need to be able to play videos on my pc...)
Please help!

Hi, thank you for patiently waiting, as per checking and analyzing the event logs, there are multiple errors in rt68cx21, which is your Realtek Gaming GBE Family Controller network adapter, and for us to sort out the issue kindly follow the steps below:
Method 1. Roll back Wi-Fi driver.
-Press the Windows key + X
-Go to Device Manager
-Expand the Network Adapters
-Look for the Realtek Wi-Fi driver and LAN Driver
-Right-click and click "Update Driver"
-Look for "Browse my computer for driver"
-Click "Let me pick drivers available drivers on my computer"
-Choose an old driver or other driver name then select it and hit next until it installs.
Note: If the issue persists, please download and install a Wi-Fi driver from your manufacturer's website and or update the BIOS with the help of the PC manufacturer.
Method 2. Do clean boot:
A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program.
Troubleshooting reference: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135...
If none works from the above solution, I suggest doing an in-place upgrade wherein it will upgrade the device to the latest version and repair all issues without deleting any files.
Kindly follow the steps from this link:
Also, just some additional information
Last time PC froze, I had VLC open
Other times, I usually had YouTube open on Chrome.
I also play video games on my PC sometimes, but I never experienced a random restart or green screen during my gaming session
