Hello I am on windows 10 with a prebuilt gaming computer. I have a intel i7 9700 cpu, GeFORCE 3070 gpu, 16 Gb ram. And my computer keeps freezing like 20-30 mins into some games. I’ve checked everything ran multiple diagnostics and found no issues, anyone have any ideas?

This error has several instances in the system event logs.

"Smart Card Reader 'ACS ACR39U ICC Reader 0' rejected IOCTL TRANSMIT: A device attached to the system is not functioning. If this error persists, your smart card or reader may not be functioning correctly.

    Command Header: 00 a4 04 00"

    • I will recommend that you update or uninstall-reinstall the Smart Card Reader driver.

There are also system event errors that indicated the file "nvlddmkm" which is related to Nvidia GPU,

    • I will recommend that you clean uninstall the currently installed NVidia driver using DDU then download and install the older/different version of the driver from the NVidia support website.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted.

    Hi XGN,

I'm Paul and I'm here to help you with your concern.

Can you share the System event log?

    >> Open Event Viewer.

    >> Click Windows Logs.

    >> Right-click System.

    >> click "Save all events as"

    >> Select location, name the file, and click Save.

    >> select "Display Information for these languages ", click English and click OK.

    >> Upload the saved log file to OneDrive and share the link here.

You should also check Reliability Monitor.

Press Win key + R > type and enter: perfmon /rel > check for the error that matches the date and time of the freezing.

    Thanks.
