Hello,

Our SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15-SP2 is experiencing explosive log growth in /var/log/messages.

I haven't been able to determine what the unit is that's referenced.

There is this process which is concerning given the 78% CPU:
dew 14133 78.4 0.0 13976 3604 ? R May25 1366:21 /usr/basis/pro5/pro5/pro5 -q -m4096 -c/usr/basis/inx/config.sy7 ../cust

This is a tail of /var/log/messages.

Stopping gnome-shell stopped the log growth, but the problem returned when gnome restarted.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as determining the service that's restarting instantaneously and infinitely?

Thank you

    Hi,

Firstly, this issue seems to be related with Gnome, other than Microsoft System Center Operations Manager. Per Gnome's website, it is a bug with Gnome desktop environment. We may try update the Gnome desktop environment as documented in this article or switch to other Linux desktop environments.
