Teams Crashing Router

Working from home, my wife uses Teams on her work computer (Macbook Pro/Big Sur) and I use Teams on my work computer (Dell/Precision 7540). My computer is run by my company so I do not have admin authority which is making this even tougher. I operate through Cisco AnyConnect VPN to access company data.

THE PROBLEM:
If both of us are on video calls, the router crashes, internet drops, and doesn't come back until the router reboots. The issue is with my computer as the router doesn't crash until I join my call. This happens on and off the VPN but only when both of us are on Teams video calls. I do not know whats going on. Speed through the VPN (slowest) is 154up/20down. My router should be able to handle this, but I have exhausted my limited knowledge of this topic especially considering I am normally a Mac user. This issue never happened all last year when we were both on video calls for work and school (Teams & Webex).

Router: Sagemcom F@st 5260
Modem: Arris TM1602A MTA
these are (disappointingly) supplied by my ISP.

Is it possible that I am overloading my router? why hasn't this happened before? Does the VPN add data that could bog down the system? Is this a PC issue?
Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

    Hi @Anonymous

Does anyone else have the same issue in your Teams organization?

Have you tried to use Teams web client to see if it can be reproduced?

To analyze if it is related to network, it recommends you contact with your admin to use Network Planner to calculate the network requirements. Admin could go to Teams admin cemter> Plannning> Network planner to see it.

Also, you could try to change another device to see if it works for you.

For more details about network requirements in Microsoft Teams, you can learn it from:

Same issue here. Only for "phone" calls. Not happening in meetings.

Router is TPLink Archer C3150 which is pretty good.
