How do I reinstall Microsoft Store for Windows 11?

I just bought a new MSI computer about a month ago. Recently, I went to redownload Minecraft Bedrock edition, so I can play it with my fiancé. Well, in order to download the game, I need the Microsoft Store. When I went through the computer apps, Microsoft store was not listed with the apps. I don't see a place to download it on the Microsoft website, and the only article I could find about it online said to reset Windows entirely.

Also, when trying to download an app, like the Tips app, a pop-up comes up saying "We can't find this 'ms-windows-store' link. Your device needs a new app to open this link."

Is there any other way of resolving the issue before I resort to resetting Windows? Also, if that doesn't resolve the issue, what is the next step?

I had this problem as well for 6 months+ and it drove me nuts!

I ended up terminating my Xbox gold subscription as I couldn't install any Xbox games from the Microsoft store, but my kid forced me to get it fixed to play Minecraft, so 12 hours later ;-)

    my solution was:

-Click start, type Powershell and run it as administrator
-Copy and paste each of the commands below and hit Enter

    get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage –allusers
    start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

Reinstalling the store might also do the trick (that you can bing or google that separate).

Please MS, get this freaking thing FIXED so the store knows what wrong instead of just going into stupide mode and doing nothing!..

    Hope it helps!

Hi, I'm Elise, a fellow user like yourself and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

Other users have had a similar issue to this, could you please try follow these steps to re-register the store app.

Could you open the powershell app as an administrator and copy in the following command and press enter

    Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Now reboot your PC and this should allow you to use the store app again.

If this doesn’t work the next stage I would suggest is a repair upgrade, you can find steps on how to do this here:

Hi, Elise, I apologize for replying so late. I saw what you wrote about running the command and tried it, but it didn't do anything. I got busy with work and other priorities, so I'm just now coming back to it. Does the repair upgrade reset my computer to factory, deleting everything?
