the users pc has several one drive folders which I believe that is eating up space in the pc.

OneDrive by default creates the OneDrive folder under the User folder. The OneDrive Folder contains the synced files and folders from the OneDrive Account. Right-click the OneDrive Folder > Properties to see how much space it is using.
