Windows Subsystem for Linux WSLg Preview, Version 1.0.27, Does Not Install (0x80070643)

I am on Windows 11 Insider Dev build 23511.1000; having enabled the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) and receiving Microsoft product updates on my PC. I recieved a certain update: Windows Subsystem for Linux WSLg Preview - 1.0.27, in Windows Update. Since many days, it cannot install on my PC due to an error coded 0x80070643. I have retried it several times, but the issue persists. I have no idea why it fails to install and about how to debug it. Kindly feel free to assist me and resolve the issue; I would be grateful for the same.

    Hi Samrath,

    I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

    It is probably a Dev Build issue. Next Dev update might resolve that. You can try the script below:

    The first step would be to try resetting Windows updates using an automatic script.

    Make sure you run the script as an administrator.
