Good Evening,

I upgraded my computer from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and all of a sudden my computer randomly shut down almost twice a day.

I checked the Event Viewer and Windows PowerShell and came across this;

Id : 1074 LevelDisplayName : Information TimeCreated : 9/16/2023 8:26:02 PM Message : The process C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe (TERENCE) has initiated the power off of computer TERENCE on behalf of user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM for the following reason: No title for this reason could be found Reason Code: 0x500ff Shutdown Type: power off Comment:

Is there any way to fix this issue or do I have to go back to Windows 10?

Any help is appreciated!

Thank You

Terence Chauvet

Thanks for sending the log, Terence.

I am afraid that there is nothing useful in the event viewer log.

Did you have the same issue with Windows 10?

To troubleshoot this issue, please go through this checklist to make sure the installation is set up correctly:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

Uninstall any third-party security software and scan for viruses & malware with the free Malwarebytes:

    https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download

If you are overclocking your PC, try running everything (CPU, GPU, system memory) at their stock speeds. See if the issue is still reproducible. Or, turn off XMP profile or set it to Auto.

Download then install the latest version of BIOS & Chipset drivers from the manufacturer's website.

Please let me know if you need further assistance and keep me updated.

    Hi Terence,

I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

Does your computer fully support Windows 11?

Let's see if we can fix the issue first, before going back to Windows 10. Please go to C:\Windows\Minidump and copy any minidump files you find to your desktop. Afterward, share these files through OneDrive or Google Drive so we can analyze them and identify the specific file that's causing the crash.

If the folder is empty, kindly share the Event viewer logs:
