My PC hangs for a split second while doing anything.

I have a dell precision 7540. It's a great laptop with an Intel Xeon E-2286M, an Nvidia Quadro T2000, and 64 GB ram. For some reason whenever I'm doing anything at all, whether it be scrolling on a web page or even just typing, my pc hangs for one or two seconds and then types out or registers whatever I was doing. Right when I was typing this it froze a couple of times for a second or two. It still typed out everything that I was typing but the display froze before it came. It's a new laptop and I really don't know why this is happening. Can someone please help me ?

Yep. All of my drivers are updated. Another thing that happened is that my j,k, and l keys on my keyboard aren't working which is odd because I haven't spilt anything on the pc and it's definitely not dirty which means it must be an issue on the software end. If you have a fix for this as well please help me out. I got this laptop about 4 to 5 months ago.

How about drivers did you update them too?

You may visit Dell's support and run a check to make sure all your drivers are update and if not update them.

Have a look at Support for Precision 7540 | Drivers & Downloads | Dell US.

Try open start and search for Windows Update and open it and check for update and download and install all updates and restart your PC and then check for update again and do this process until it shows you have installed all updates for the Windows.
