Hi, my system crashed while I was gaming. Not exactly sure what caused it, but it seems to have something to do with the PFN list? Here's the info:

SYMBOL_NAME: nt!MiDereferenceControlAreaPfnList+21

MODULE_NAME: nt

STACK_COMMAND: .cxr; .ecxr ; kb

IMAGE_NAME: ntkrnlmp.exe

BUCKET_ID_FUNC_OFFSET: 21

FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: AV_nt!MiDereferenceControlAreaPfnList

OS_VERSION: 10.0.19041.1

BUILDLAB_STR: vb_release

OSPLATFORM_TYPE: x64

OSNAME: Windows 10

FAILURE_ID_HASH: {97b4b4f9-cdc2-f9fb-f66d-b09d543deab0}

Followup: MachineOwner

I can link the dmp file if needed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi, after further testing I found out it was a bad stick of ram causing the crash. I replaced the ram today and everything has been fine so far. Did MemTest86 with no errors.

Your dump file shows a problem with the system kernel, usually caused by the driver. We need further verification, please create a restore point for your system and then refer to the "How to start Driver Verifier" section of this article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardw..., in the third step select "Automatically select all drivers installed on this computer" to verify the driver and share the new dump file with me.

Turning on driver verification may cause your system to fail to boot, if this happens please use restore points to recover.

If the computer has any auto-overclocking feature enabled (including XMP, PBO, etc.) or manual overclocking, please restore the default first.

    Hi, here's a link:

    https://www.mediafire.com/file/vuoeipbqvcevnxq/080423-7593-01.zip/file

I've been testing and I'm pretty sure it's a ram problem. I ran Windows Memory Diagnostics and it said I had a hardware problem. And then ran MemTest86 of a USB stick and had a ton or errors. But maybe this dump file can shed some more light.

Hello, I'm A&K, here to help.

I may need you to provide the dump file to help you analyze the failure. Please see if there is a. DMP file in your system directory "C:\Windows\Minidump". If there is, please upload it to a cloud drive such as OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive and share the link here, I will help you analyze it.
