Does Teams support 3rd party document extensions

I'm trying to add an app to the MST app store, and one of the functions is opening a sent document in a third party app. I saw that Teams supports this for normal messages with their message extensions, but wondering if we can do the same for documents.

Essentially, can a third party app add features to the menu circled in red the same way as normal messages?11041-mst-document-extension.png

    Hi,

As far as I know there's no option for this today, but it is a requested feature which you can give your vote on over here:

    Hi Marcus!

I am afraid to tell you this feature is not supported in Microsoft Teams.

As Leon said, we recommend you give the feedback on Microsoft Teams UserVoice. Microsoft will always focus on customer’s feedback and experience. Some new features would be added to the services based on customers' feedback in the future, and your good ideas will be very helpful for them to improve the service.

Your time, understanding and cooperation will be highly appreciated.
