Wrong Password for advanced start-up command prompt administrator

I'm trying to get to the command prompt in the advanced startup so I can reformat my main boot drive to GPT because it is still in MBR (I'm trying to get upgraded to Windows 11 and I cannot change my boot sequence to UEFI currently without having problems). I've run into the issue that no matter what it is telling me the administrator password I type is wrong. Afaik it would be the same password as for my Microsoft account, as I have logged in on my PC using that. Despite changing the password and attempting other steps already I'm not having any luck. I'm wondering if it is maybe a different password after all or what the issue is and ofc if there is a way of reformating my Boot drive to GPT without going through the command prompt steps. Thank you for any help!

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

This s a common problem if you use a Microsoft account login, it is not recognized in the Recovery Environment.

If you are blocked by a password in the Recovery Environment, then, you will need to create a bootable Windows 10 USB on another working PC and boot your PC from that, then rather than installing Windows 10, select ‘Repair this Computer’ that will give you access to the Recovery Environment from there

In the Recovery Environment on the USB, you will not be blocked by a password.

Click this link:

to download the Media Creation Tool (Click on Download Tool Now), with that you can download the latest Windows 10 ISO (Select Create Installation Media for Another PC), you can create a bootable USB flash drive (min 8GB) using that tool

Then, Boot your PC from the Installation Media you just created (change Boot Order in your BIOS)
