Hello

I would like to add disk letter into path for my collegue.

For example path to folder "test" saved on my computer is:

C:\Desktop\Test

However my collegue have it as:

\lcp1022\desktop\test*

*(not exactly like that, just an example)

Is there any way to change it?

    Hi Paszko,

I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

If this folder is shared between you and your friend, the path takes your computer name instead of the drive's letter because if you change it to C:\ the local folder on your friend's computer will be opened instead of the shared folder.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

    Hello all

    Thanks for replies.

We are in the same network and we are using same excel macro, which is not working for that one person only.

Long story short VBA macro has one functionaliy that checks location of macro running and check is string name of disk is presented as letter (not perfect macro but for now we are not able to change the code).

So for me macro checks that my location save is "C", but for my collegue it is "" = crash of macro. (using formula LEFT(disk name where macro is saved,1)).

This is the reason I am trying to check if I can change display of my collegue disk from \lcp1022 to C:\ for example.

Maybe it is a vhd or vhdx network shared disk.

Don't break some one elses computer.

Feel free to change the path on your own device though.
