Teams for Mac - Chat in Contacts view does not show correct status for other users. Chat in Chat view does show correct status for other users. Why is this?

When I sort chat by contacts in Teams for Mac, it does not show the correct status for other users. If I sort it by most recent chat, it does show the correct status for other users. The presence seems to work ok in the calls section also, just not in chat when sorted by contacts.

Does this problem also happen in Windows?
Does anyone else have the same issue in your organization?
I did a test in our environment and it seems work normally. In this case, could you try to reset the status to see if it works for you?

My problem is that if I am in Chat view, other users' status shows correctly.
But if I switch to Contacts view, other users' status seems to be random. If I hover over the user image it displays the correct status. The top user in all of the pictures is the same person. The status shows Available, correctly, in Chat View but shows Out Of Office, incorrectly, in Contacts view. If I hover over their user image in Contacts view it shows Available, but the icon on the user image doesn't change. -

2021-06-22T08:24:52.2+00:00 To exclude the client issue, we firstly recommend you try to use Teams web client to see if this issue can be fixed. If there is no issue in Teams web client, please sign out your Teams client and clear Teams client cache file by following these steps:
1.While holding the Windows key, press R to open Windows Run, then copy and paste the following into the box and click OK:
%appdata%\Microsoft
2.Find the Teams folder, then right click it and select Delete
3.Relauch Microsoft Teams. -
