I've been playing around 6 years with my xbox 360 wireless receiver (https://www.amazon.com.mx/Microsoft-Wireless-Gaming-Receiver-accessories/dp/B000HZFCT2) on my pc but some days ago i received on my pc the message "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)" when i connect the xbox 360 wireless receiver in the Usb port. I have searched the internet for solutions but nothing works. Has the receiver died?

    Hi Andres,

I'll try to help you with this.

Could you please share the troubleshooting steps you've already attempted? In the meantime, I'll provide you with some additional steps that may help resolve the issue.

The "Unknown USB Device Error Code 43" in Windows typically indicates that a USB device connected to your computer has encountered a problem and is not functioning correctly. This issue can be caused by a variety of factors, and there are several steps you can take to try and resolve it:

    1. Disconnect and Reconnect the USB Device:

First, unplug the USB device that's showing the error.

Wait a few seconds, then plug it back into a different USB port on your computer. Sometimes, a simple reconnection can solve the problem.

    1. Restart Your Computer:

Sometimes, a simple system restart can clear temporary issues. Try restarting your computer and see if the error persists.

    1. Check the USB Cable and Device:

Ensure that the USB cable and the USB device itself are in good working condition. A damaged cable or a faulty device can cause errors.

    1. Update USB Device Drivers:

Outdated or incompatible drivers can trigger error code 43. Visit the manufacturer's website for the USB device and download the latest drivers for it. Alternatively, use Windows Update to check for driver updates.

    1. Use Troubleshooter:

Windows includes a built-in hardware troubleshooter that can help identify and fix hardware-related problems. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot, and run the "Hardware and Devices" troubleshooter.

If the problem continues, I'd be glad to explore additional solutions to address it. Please keep me informed of any developments or updates.
