Windows 11 Ms-contact-support://setting/SettingPage/TroubleshootBITS

Device             Lenovo Yoga C930-131KB

Processor        Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz   1.99 GHz

Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)

System type    64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Pen and touch Pen and touch support with 10 touch points

Storage Samsung: MZVLB1T0HAR-000L2  284.44GB/ 953.87GB used

Physical memory DDR4:  5.12GB/15.84 used

OS Name:                   Microsoft Windows 11 Home

OS Version:                10.0.22621 N/A Build 22621

After my computer did following updates: 2023-07 cumulative update.net frame work 3.5 and 4.8.1 for windows 11 (KB50228851) and 2023-07 cumulative update windows 11 22H2 for x64 systems (KB5028185) on 7/11/23 I began having intermittent issues with wifi connecting slowly and Outlook (office 2021) abruptly shutting down. Then about 2 weeks ago started getting intermittent BSOD.  I tried all the basic troubleshooting via CMD line: 1. SFC 2. CHKDSK 3 DISM, I looked for updates, went through all the drivers, tried the troubleshooter, then after one of the BSOD episodes the computer attempted to do a start up repair and was unable to do so and told me to try another trouble shooting method, I ran through the same commands above no corruption found. Then decided to do a system restore to 7/2/23. When that completed I got a message stating the system restored; however, the sys tray did not load, I could move the move but could not do anything, control alt delete did not work, I waited a while and did a hard shutdown. When the computer came back on line I was able to use it, but some of the functionality was gone. I first looked for updates, but there were none, and my update history basically looked unchanged (showing multiple Microsoft AFTER 7/2/23 even before I ran update check, also the Logitech - HIDClass - 1.10.80.0 driver which was updated 7/24/23 was still in the windows update history) so I am uncertain what the system restored.

I re-ran basic troubleshooting via CMD line: 1. SFC 2. CHKDSK 3 DISM again no corruption.

Now when I try to run system troubleshooter I get and Error message “ this file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Ms-contact-support://setting/SettingPage/TroubleshootBITS”.  Also in troubleshooter ”get help” “quick assistance from friend””give feed back” links do not work,  the power options the only option is balances and some of the selections are missing when you go under advanced options, also when you look at the network drivers in device manage under properties its missing power management (it its there for Bluetooth but not the other drivers). Therefore I think my driver and/or app package got corrupted when I restored to a prior version. My Bios is update and the one on the Lenovo site is 3 years old and states its for window 10 sysems, and some people on the Lenovo support site who have my laptop which came with windows 10  said they had issues reinstalling this BIOS after their computer was upgraded to Windows 11, and also had problems doing a fresh install either using Lenovo or windows bootable USB. Also when I tried to reste the computer my computer was unable to do so from the “cloud” or local profile. So what do I do now?

    Hello, mbfireworks

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

If your attempts to reinstall Windows 11 have not yielded a resolution to the issue at hand, it is plausible that you have encountered a compatibility concern, often rooted in hardware configuration. Addressing this matter extends beyond the purview of Microsoft's scope and necessitates collaboration with the hardware manufacturer, Lenovo in this case. To address this situation effectively, I recommend you reach out to Lenovo's support team, elucidating the specific problem you are encountering: Contactus - Lenovo Support US. Their expertise will enable them to conduct a comprehensive assessment of your hardware, offering insights into potential compatibility concerns.

Meanwhile, I advise you to employ the Windows Feedback Hub to report the intricacies of the issues you are facing. This proactive step empowers Microsoft to gather pertinent information, which could potentially inform future updates aimed at addressing these compatibility discrepancies. Initiating this feedback process is conveniently achieved by simultaneously pressing the Windows logo key and the F key on your keyboard.

While the compatibility concerns are being addressed, you may wish to contemplate temporarily mitigating the situation by executing the following course of action. Back up crucial files to safeguard your data, and subsequently, consider downloading Windows 10 ISO image (Download Windows 10 - microsoft.com) and reinstalling Windows 10 via a USB drive. This measure could potentially circumvent the immediate compatibility complications.

Let me know if you have any other concerns.

    Best regards

    Yuhao Li
