“Windows is still setting up class configuration for this device code 56” network adapter

all of the network adapters on my computer, have a error displayed saying that windows is still sitting at the class configuration for the device code 56. I have tried many things to fix this problem, including but not limited to restarting the computer, restoring to a system Restore point, uninstalling, VPN software, updating network, adapter drivers, disabling and reenabling network adapters, Deleting and then re-creating my network adapter, using my iPhone as a network adapter. I tethered my iPhone with a charging cable and turn on the hotspot and a device manager. It just showed up like all the other ones with an error. I do not want to reinstall windows because it would be a massive hassle to reconfigure my computer to the state is in. I have attached a picture of the device manager page and the error.

Dear anyone that still has the issues, after hours of crawling the internet, reinstalling the drivers, reset the network settings,... this one solution from Reddit works for me.

Basically, open Registry Editor (by Windows + R, type regedit and enter), find and delete this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID{3d09c1ca-2bcc-40b7-b9bb-3f3ec143a87b}

The reason for that might come from broken VMWare installation.

    The solution from Intel's website just worked for me:

    1. Press Windows key + x
    2. ClickNetwork Connections
      1. ClickAdvanced network settings (in Windows* 11)
      2. ClickStatus (in Windows* 10)
    3. ClickNetwork reset

    I’ll try the bios fix later but I can tell you I’ve already tried installing the wifi drivers from that very link and it did nothing.
