Video management internal error

My friend gave me his old laptop and I restarted my computer fully clean, and I am in the start up repair loop. I am not able to use Startup repair, system restore, system image recovery, and uninstall updates due to the fact that my friend doesn’t know his password. When I try resetting the PC in the trouble shoot option, it loads and it starts downloading, but half way through it always brings me back to the blue screen of death saying Video Management internal. When I am also setting up my PC with Cortana, half way through that the same blue screen keeps popping up. This has been going on for weeks! I tried the Exit and continue to windows 10 but that also won’t work and I don’t know what else to do.

    Dear Norman Ngonevolalath

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I understand that you are experiencing a blue screen loop problem and that you have tried to reset but without success. This appears to be due to a corrupt and missing base file on the system, which is causing the system to not function properly and cannot be repaired by a reset. As you have already tried a reset without success, a fresh install may be the best solution to the problem. As you mentioned that your friend gave you the computer, this solution will allow you to install a new environment on your computer and provide you with a better experience.

You can refer to the following link for a fresh installation Please ensure that you backup any important data, including Documents, Pictures, Videos, and more. After that, you can find instructions on how to install Windows 10/11 in the following article by MVP Andre: How to: Perform a Custom Installation of Windows 11 and Windows 10 - Microsoft Community

Thanks for your patience and understanding!
