    Hello shekhar shwetha,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

If the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) option for Windows 10 Professional is not listed in the dropdown menu when you add a printer, it may be because your system does not have the components or Settings required for IPP printing enabled. To get the "IPP" option to add a printer, you need to enable the Internet Printing Client function:

    1. Click the Start button to open the Control panel.
    2. Go to "Programs" or "Programs and Features."
    3. On the left, click Turn Windows Features on or Off. Image
    4. Scroll down and find "Print and Document Services." Click the "+" symbol to expand it.
    5. Check the box next to "Internet Printing Client". Image
    6. Click "OK" to enable the feature.

Windows may need to download and install some additional components, so make sure you have an active Internet connection.

If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best regards,

    Thanks for the quick response!

But Internet Printing Client setting was already checked in my PC,

Also I turned it off and on again followed by a restart just to recheck.

Still IPP option is not listed in the drop down.

Have you tried running Printer Troubleshooting?

I've confirmed that this printer type is available in multiple Windows 10 computers, so I can't rule out that it's caused by an anomaly in some of your system's core components. You may in-place upgrade the system by the steps below.

    • Please rest assured that the in-place upgrade the system will theoretically not affect your data and applications (you need to choose to keep files and applications in the next steps), just update all the system files are the latest.
    • If you have important data, you may make additional backups to prevent accidental loss of your data. Also make sure there is enough free space in the system partition, at least 40GB.
    1. Download Windows 10 ISO file Visit Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com) and click "Download Now" under “Create Windows 10 installation media” to download MCT (Media Creation Tool). Then run the program, select "Create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD or ISO file) for another PC”, and then choose Language*,* Version*,* Architecture*(if you are not sure about these, choose "Use the recommended options for this PC"), then select "ISO file" in the "Select Media to Use" interface, and then a Windows ISO file will be downloaded to your disk (about 4-5GB in size, it is recommended that you choose a non-system disk).*
    2. In-place upgrade the system After the download is completed, double-click the ISO file, double-click to run "setup.exe" in the open File Explorer, and select "Change how Windows Installer downloads updates" > "Download updates, drivers and optional features", Select "Keep personal files and apps" after accepting the terms of the agreement, then click "Next" > "Install". Then the system will reboot a few times, and then enter the welcome screen. Disclaimer*: Let’s try performing an in-place install or in-place upgrade which will refresh your Windows files and operating system without removing files or applications. That being said, we always recommend that if you have important data, you should back it up before making large system changes. If you want to back up your data first, please do so. Once you are done backing up, you can follow the steps in the following guides:How to perform an In-place Upgrade with Windows 10 Step-by-Step Guide - Microsoft Community***

Have you enabled the backup feature? Because based on the description/path you provided, it seems like you are using a system restore that does not back up any files.

If so, please describe your usage scenario in detail or send me a screenshot/photo of it, and include it in the next reply to help me understand your situation better?
