If the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) option for Windows 10 Professional is not listed in the dropdown menu when you add a printer, it may be because your system does not have the components or Settings required for IPP printing enabled. To get the "IPP" option to add a printer, you need to enable the Internet Printing Client function:
- Click the Start button to open the Control panel.
- Go to "Programs" or "Programs and Features."
- On the left, click Turn Windows Features on or Off.
- Scroll down and find "Print and Document Services." Click the "+" symbol to expand it.
- Check the box next to "Internet Printing Client".
- Click "OK" to enable the feature.
Windows may need to download and install some additional components, so make sure you have an active Internet connection.
