Java installer package error

So, I have been trying to install Java 17 but every time I try to, I get "This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package".

I have tried editing keys in reg editor to allow my admin acct to have full control over what could be blocking the install and other such alike things. Nothing seems to be working.

Event Log: The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID 

{2593F8B9-4EAF-457C-B68A-50F6B8EA6B54}

 and APPID 

{15C20B67-12E7-4BB6-92BB-7AFF07997402}

 to the user LAPTOP-NF3SHIG3`-- SID (S-1-5-21-1601308769-729850463-1070610075-1001) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

Any ideas on how to fix this.

    1. Is that the entire log?
    2. Please check if the SHA256 checksum of your downloaded setup file matches the one mentioned on the official website. https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/javase/jdk17-archive-downloads.html
    3. Right-click "jdk-17_windows-x64_bin.exe" and click Properties. Post a screenshot of that dialog.
    4. Attempt to copy it to c:\ and run the setup from there.

    Hi Herby(02),

    Please run the installer with verbose logging.

    msiexec /i "D:\FILENAME.msi" /L*V "C:\java.log"

    and share the log on OneDrive.

    Note: Replace d:\Filename.msi with the correct .msi file path.
