WIN 11 Reinstall Problem

Guided by MSN Help, I downloaded the .iso and waited for the paint to dry. After ages, the "Updates" feature kicked in. Then up came HP Splash Screen, THEN a message:

"Undoing changes made to your computer"

After half an hour, HP Splash Screen and the cursor chasing its tail.

I've had to Reinstall many times, I've never had this happen before. I'm not waiting for the finish to report this [on my office pc].

Someone wise told me that I should always create a Restore Point before MSN Downloads and not rely on the MSN Restore Point. Then I have a sporting chance of getting my System back to where it was before the Downloads if there are problems.

May I clarify if you are still stuck in "Undoing changes made to your computer"?

Can you provide the files that I am asking for from my previous reply?

    Thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply, Paul.

I've decided against Re-installation. According to other Help sources [and my own findings] this is a Registry problem. I can live without Personalization on the Win 11 pc, and certainly will not be asking MSN Online Help to try to sort this error that was not of my making.

    Hi Old_hand,

I'm Paul and I'm here to help you with your concern.

If you can now access the PC, kindly share the installation logs.

    > Go to C:$Windows.~BT\Sources\Panther and C:$Windows.~BT\Sources\Rollback folders.

    > Get the Setupact.log and Setuperr.log files and upload them to OneDrive or GoogleDrive then share the link here.

    .

    Thanks.
