Have you already tried setting Preferred Band to No Preference and then restarting your pc?

It depends on which wireless mode I use. It is set to 5gz preferred. 10 allows me to see the 5gz network, but it says "Can't connect to this network". 12 allows me to see the 5gz network, but it gets stuck on "Connecting". I have no issues connecting to 2.4gz but it is not an ideal speed. This applies to my mobile hotspot too (can only connect to 2.4gz, not 5gz). I have updated drivers from Dell's website installed, I have done a network reset, all the suggested cmd prompts, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers. I know it is not the router or the hotspot as my brothers laptop has no issue connecting to 5gz, both on my hotspot and the router. Any suggestions that I won't find anywhere else on Google? Wouldn't be posting here if I hadn't tried everything :(

Connection to 5 GHz WiFi networks must still be possible even if the IPv6 protocol is disabled or missing. Post a screenshot of the page you are looking at.

Are you able to connect to the 2.4 GHz network? What is the message you get when you try to connect to the 5GHz network?,Post a screenshot.
