My wife is using her laptop with MS Windows 11 and getting a message that she should call a number to get her security straightened out due to a Defender hack. We don't trust the number listed so what number can we call from Microsoft to get tech support?

The PC is infected with malware, unless its an email msg, in which case its a scam

Usually a new system would have a pre-installed trial of either Norton or McAfee Security
