disable bit locker

I have a HD which has bit locker encryption on it as it was sent to me with recovered data from a failed drive. I have pc's with Windows 10 and Windows 11 home editions, neither of which come with bit locker. I have the encryption key which allows me to access the data but every time I disconnect the drive and attach it to a pc I have to keep entering the key. I would really like to completely disable bit locker. Does anyone know how it can be done?

Thanks

    Hello deadmort,

Once you have the BitLocker encrypted drive unlocked, you can use an available option in the tutorial below to turn off BitLocker for it.
