The new File Manager in Win 11 is confusing. Why are there two Quick Access sections in win 11 file manager with one of them called Home.

I have searched for explanations, but came up empty, so please send me a link or explain what the hell they have done now to make it better but it got worse.

Hi Rafisher1,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

In Windows 11 Quick Access has been replaced and it is now named Home, and the left pane in File Explorer is hard to understand, it really needs to be tidied up by the developers.

Right click an empty spot in the left pane and enable 'Show all Folders' that should get it looking like the one in Windows 10.

If that view does not suit you, right click again, there are other options you can enable and disable,

Yes, you are correct, that is the way they have laid out that navigation pane.

    Thanks for that Dave.

I understand that Home is the new name for the Quick Access section in the Win 10 File Explorer.

I now see three sections - meaning a horizontal solid lind between them in the left pane.

Am I correct to assume that the middle section is Home and the top section is the Namespace with Home and OneDrive in it?

Even though my One Drive folder is on my separate physical Data Drive after I moved it, does that mean that Home in the top section is a similar duplication?
