Task Bar Placement Windows 11

I updated to Windows 11 and can no longer move my task bar to the left side of my screen. I don't want the task bar on the bottom of my screen as I find it difficult to work with it there. I have brought my laptop back to the Geek Squad and they informed me that it can be done, but the upgrade has made it so that it may not function properly. Being able to move our task bars has been possible for probably 20 years if not longer. How can this option be reinstated on my laptop? Thank you in advance.

    Hi Dee,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

The Taskbar in Windows 11 is very limited compared to the one in Windows 10, currently there is no native way to move the taskbar like in previous versions of Windows.

There are some free 3rd party utilities that clam to be able to move the Taskbar in Windows 11, though with varying degrees of success.

In the meantime, please open the feedback hub (Windows Key + F) and provide your feedback on the lack of functionality on the taskbar in Windows 11 to the developers there.
