WinRE problem...

As a beginner Windows user, I have a little knowledge of WinRE (Windows Recovery Environment) - A boot entrance that let you choose another entrances (If you have) and troubleshoot you machine (Or your OS) After all, WinRE very useful and you must have one (Well, it already have in your computer if you don't delete it)

Say like that, but like I said - I am a beginner Windows user, so I only know a few things of it, and this is the detail:

WinRE is a boot entrance - as everyone know - and its critical files was contained in a file named WinRE (WIM file) and the directory of WinRE.wim is <Volume letter>:\Recovery\WinRE\WinRE.wim (If I remember right). And not only that, it works with a "Logs" folder, ReAgent.xml and ReAgent.xml in System32 folder.

Ignore all of things I just said, here is the problem: I've posted 2 images here and as you can see a picture is showing WinRE basic information (Source: DiskPart.exe) and the another is showing my partitions basic information (Source: MiniTool Partition Wizard), the partition 4 is my Windows OS partition, partition 3 is reserved partition, partition 2 is EFI partition and partition 1 is recovery partition. Yeah, partition 1 was for "recovery" but the "recovery" is inside partition 4 - my Windows OS partition - , not partition 1 - recovery partition - and I want WinRE path in partition to save my OS disk space.

Is there any way to proceed?

Note: If you going to answer this post, please give as many details as you can so I can get it and it will it help me fix my issue easier.

Thanks for read this post :)

Thank you for the screenshot, there is noting indicated wrong with the partition table on your drive, it is set up correctly,

Can you access the WinRE using this method?

Start your PC, just as Windows attempts to load (spinning dots), press and hold Power Button for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down

    Do this twice

On the third start Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment and from there you can access System Repair, Safe Mode, Command Prompt... etc.

""and I want WinRE path in partition to save my OS disk space.""

The current recovery partition is consuming < 1 GB space.

The partition can be deleted but very little free space is achieved.

    Hi Dave

Oops, I forgot the screenshots, here

List in MiniTool Partition wizard was sort by number and partition 1 is the supposed one to be recovery partition, partition 4 (Windows) is took that mission from partition 1

Hope you can find a solution.

    Thanks for reposting.
