WIN 10 Remove license

Hi

I am trying to deactivate the Windows11 Pro from 1 computer to use it in a new one (that had WIN 11 Home)

I login with my user which is a admin and have run the following commands:

slmgr.vbs /upk

slmgr -cpky

Both commands came back with messages such as "successfully removed license" and "Product key from registry cleared successfully".

However, when going to Activation I can still read windows is activated with a digital license.

That is stopping me to install my key in the new computer

Could I have any help for this, please?

    Hi Gummy.Worm,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Removing the key does not deactivate Windows immediately, that will happen with a future update, there is no real deactivation method in Windows any more because of digital licencing.

What happens when you install the key on another PC, that then indicates to the activation service online to deactivate the old PC.

Have you tried using your product key on the new PC?
