Hello, My screen is flickering on Asus Vivobook 15 x512fa. Last year the same thing happened with windows 11 and then i went to the shop and they installed win10 and told me to not upgrade to 11. Few weeks ago, I was having this repeating issue, the boot menu came every time i tried turning the laptop on. So i went to a local shop and they reinstalled windows. Unfortunately, a week later it's doing the flickering thing again and it freezes when the screen starts to flicker and none of the keys work. so i have to force shutdown by pressing the power button for 10 sec.

Can anyone tell me if its a windows update issue or a corrupted issue or any hardware issues? it couldn't possibly be hardware issue considering the last time same happened and it was only windows issue

    Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    I suggest you reinstall the graphics driver of your computer as instructed below and see if the mentioned behavior stops occurring.

    Download the latest video driver from the link below.

    Source: https://www.asus.com/us/supportonly/x512fa/help...

    Disconnect from the internet to prevent Windows from installing another version of the driver automatically.

    Uninstall the current driver:

    1. Open "Device Manager" (Windows + X and select Device Manager);
    2. Expand "Display adapters";
    3. Right-click on the Intel display adapter and select "Uninstall device";
    4. On the confirmation screen, check "Delete the driver software for this device" and click "Ok".
    5. Restart the PC.

    After the PC restarts, run the driver installer you downloaded.

    Feel free to ask back any questions.
