Bitlocker & BIOS downgrade

Hi,

After I was prompted to update my Windows 11 BIOS, the bitlocker screen came on and locked me from accessing my computer claiming that the recovery key was incorrect. Appreciate it if anyone out there have a better suggestion? I tried to downgrade the BIOS but my notebook vendor wouldn't give the link to download. Thanks

    Hi Lim,

I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

Once the Device Encryption+Bitlocker is triggered, even downgrading the BIOS will not help. Did you enter the 48-digit recovery code correctly from your Microsoft Account?

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/fin...

In your Microsoft account: Open a web browser on another device. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices/recoverykey to find your recovery key.

Tip: You can sign into your Microsoft account on any device with internet access, such as a smartphone.

Note: If the device was set up, or if BitLocker was turned on, by somebody else, the recovery key may be in that person’s Microsoft account.

Hope that helps, and rely on us for any further inquiries. All the best.
