Hi, firstly sorry for my english.

When I try to upload a video or a photo, I faced an error message the disk is write protected. I tried diskpart but nothing happens. Also I can't do error checking or format the usb. What should I do?

It is a flash drive kingston datatraveler 128 gb.

I try to connect it on my brother's pc but the same error continues (the disk is write protected). So you mean the usb dead? Should I buy a new one?

    Hi 16915,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Is that USB hard drive or a USB Flash Drive?

If you connect that drive to another PC, is it working correctly?

If that is a USB flash drive, and it is not working in another PC either, there are 3 unrecoverable errors we get on flash drives 'Write Protected', 'Insert Disk' and 'You need to format the disk'.

You will find 'fixes' all over the Internet, sadly none of them work, the drive cannot be repaired
