    in fact the Remote Desktop Protocol require a local account to be able to connect to the remote PC at first and when connected you can attach the local account to a Microsoft one, take a look to this thread answer:

    • RDP to your Windows 10 VM using the local account credentials
    • Launch the Store app
    • Install any free app
    • This will prompt you for your Microsoft account credential and ask if you want to use that to log in to Windows
    • Type your Windows account credentials
    • Sign out
    • Sign in again using "MicrosoftAccount\youremailaddress"
