Hello,

When booting Windows 10, the boot logo and Loding circle seems very stretched in my opinion. Is the logo supposed to be this stretched? like the loading icon is basically an oval at this point.

Hello! My name is David N. and I am a Microsoft Community Independent Advisor and Windows fan. I will be happy to assist you with your issue.

The stretching of the Windows logo upon boot is often caused by whether the bios setting is UEFI or legacy. If it is set to legacy then this allows some older hardware to work with modern versions of Windows but can result in the occasional odd behavior such as a stretched logo during boot. UEFI is recommended due to the security enhancements that it provides.

To fix this you will need to change from legacy to UEFI in the BIOS. The exact method depends upon the motherboard. I have provided a link on possible ways to do this below, but if you cannot get into the BIOS or are unable to find the setting you will need to contact your motherboard manufacturer for assistance.

Unfortunately, changing this setting will generally cause Windows to be unable to boot. Changing it back will resolve the boot issue but leave the boot logo issue.

At this point, you can either put up with the issue or switch anyway. If you choose to switch to UEFI then you will need to back up your data, change the BIOS setting to UEFI, reinstall Windows, and restore your data.

If you decide to go to the trouble of changing from legacy to UEFI, you can find more information here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardw...

I hope this helps! Please let me know if this resolves your issue or if you require additional assistance.
