Windows Subsystem for Linux, Redirected profile folders and off-line sync

Hi Folks,

That's a pretty intimidating title, but the question is actually quite simple; how to I get to my Profile files from Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL)?

Let me explain why that is a non-trivial question ...

I have a notebook running Windows 10 Professional that is a member of a Windows Domain. In my domain, I use "Redirected Profile Folders", and we have both "...\Users\Profile\<user>..." and "...\Users\Home\<user>..." "Always Available" checked, meaning "sync'd". Notice that the path to these files in not on C:\...

This works well. I don't have to know if I am on-line or not, since Windows preserves the path to my profile, and keeps everything in sync.

WSL presents the "C:\" filesystem for me as "/mnt/c/..." which is convenient, but notice that my profile is not on that filesystem.

How do I address my Sync'd, Redirected Profile Folders filesystem from WSL?

Thanks for the help.

Chris.

    Hi Leila,

Four links; zero relevance to the question. Matching "Linux" to random answers will not solve the problem.

    https://www.thewindowsclub.com/how-to-access-windows-subsystem-for-linux-files-on-windows-10

This explains how to access the Linux filesystem from within Windows, and I my question is how I go the other way.
    .

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/faq

This explains how to access a subset of the Windows filesystem from Linux through"/mnt/c", which I also explained does not address the problem because what I need is not on that filesystem:

WSL presents the "C:\" filesystem for me as "/mnt/c/..." which is convenient, but notice that my profile is not on that filesystem.

    Ditto ...

If you're going to answer a question, you have to actually read the question. If you are not willing to read and understand the question, then please don't engage; it is a waste of time for everybody when you answer the wrong question and I have to explain why it is wrong, and possibly even re-post because the question looks "answered".

Can you please read the question and discuss the question I asked, rather than the question that you know how to answer?

    Chris.
