Hi Leila,
Four links; zero relevance to the question. Matching "Linux" to random answers will not solve the problem.
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/how-to-access-windows-subsystem-for-linux-files-on-windows-10
This explains how to access the Linux filesystem from within Windows, and I my question is how I go the other way.
.
This explains how to access a subset of the Windows filesystem from Linux through"/mnt/c", which I also explained does not address the problem because what I need is not on that filesystem:
WSL presents the "C:\" filesystem for me as "/mnt/c/..." which is convenient, but notice that my profile is not on that filesystem.

If you're going to answer a question, you have to actually read the question. If you are not willing to read and understand the question, then please don't engage; it is a waste of time for everybody when you answer the wrong question and I have to explain why it is wrong, and possibly even re-post because the question looks "answered".
Can you please read the question and discuss the question I asked, rather than the question that you know how to answer?
Chris.
