If you do not have the dump files, that just indicates they were not created by Windows at the time of the crashes.
Some of my games started to crash
Hi there, during the last weeks i'm having problems with some of my games, I firstly noticed the crash problems on Cyberpunk 2077, the errors messages i keep getting on this game are two:
Error reason: Assert
Expression: <Unknown>
Message: Gpu Crash for unknown reasons! Callstack here is probably irrelevant. Check if Breadcrumbs or Aftermath logged anything useful.
File: E:\R6.Release\dev\src\common\gpuApi\src\dx12\gpuApiDX12Error.cpp(42)
Error reason: Unhandled exception
Expression: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xC0000005)
Message: The thread attempted to write to an inaccessible address at 0xB4C9E00000.
File: <Unknown>(0)
I also had crashing problems on The Witcher 3 and Elden Ring, unfortunately for these games i don't know where to find the crash log. For Cyberpunk, which is the game i focused on more to try resolving the issue, i tried every step as told by cdpr tech support pages, which are: clean installing nvidia drivers, verify game files integrity, close background application and i even performed a clean installation of the game but nothing seems to help.
I contacted you because maybe this crashing problems are related to Windows, maybe the last update caused some sort of issues.
My specs are not the problem for any of the games i have, GPU is a rtx 3070ti while CPU a ryzen 5 3600.
Best regards
Luca

2023-06-26T16:04:54+00:00 Without dump file data is is almost impossible to troubleshoot this.
However it is most likely your graphics drivers causing this, you indicate you have re-installed those drivers, did you try installing a couple of slightly older versions of that driver using this method?
Completely remove the current graphics card device driver using the widely available free DDU utility, then restart your PC and go to the support page for your PC on the manufacturer's website to download and install their recommended version of the graphics card device driver.
A slightly older version of that driver is more stable than the latest version.

2023-06-26T15:05:39+00:00 Hi Luca,
I am Dave, I will help you with this.
Please check to see if your PC is producing any minidump files, I will check those to see if they provide any insight into a potential cause of the system crashes.
Open Windows File Explorer.
Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump
Copy any minidump files onto your Desktop, then zip those up.
Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox... etc.), then choose to share those and get a share link.
Then post the link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you.
Hi Dave,
thanks for your response, i checked the minidump folder but there are no files in there. Is there other methods to check for problems?
