Hi, I can't delete my resource group - I am getting an error that the VM within it must be deleted first, but that VM is already deleted and doesn't show up in the group.

Error:
Remove-AzResourceGroup: Long running operation failed with status 'Conflict'.
StatusCode: 409
ReasonPhrase: Conflict
OperationID :

Azure Virtual Machines
Azure Virtual Machines
An Azure service that is used to provision Windows and Linux virtual machines.

    Hi All,

An MSFT employee privately messaged me with an email address I contacted to resolve this.
I believe they did something on their end, after which I was able to delete the Resource Group.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone :)

    Jon

    Good day,

I am getting an error that the VM within it must be deleted first, but that VM is already deleted and doesn't show up in the group.

This issue probably requires checking your specific account which we cannot do in the forum. I recomend to open a tickat from your Azure subscription. This is related to billing since if the VM exists and cannot be removed you might pay for it - billing tickates anyone can open for free :-)

So when you open the support ticket select billing category

In the meantime or before, I recomend to try using PowerShell since you migh get more information if it will raise error
