Intel Optane uninstalled - BSOD

Hi everyone,

So as the title states I messed up. I was following instructions on the intel website as the Optane process was eating up my CPU.

You can guess what happened. When trying to reinstall the Rapid Storage setup the restart is when it all went up in flames as it goes to a blue error screen.

I have tried so far

* turn off and on again - failed

* go into safe mode - failed

* reset windows - failed

Now what I don’t get is why it won’t work after windows was reinstalled. Earlier it said uncorrectable error, just now unmountable boot error.

Help please. Not to fussed about any apps lost, but I do need my personal files.

Thank you.

Hello! My name is Mostafa, and I’m an independent advisor and a long-time Microsoft user.

I’m sorry that you are experiencing this issue, and I will try my best to assist you with this so that you find a satisfactory solution.

Please go to the link below and download the latest Intel RST version( Please note that you have to download the Floppy version, not Win.exe)

    https://www.intel.co.id/content/www/id/id/downl...

If the above driver is not compatible with your hardware, find the latest driver which is compatible with your hardware.

Please check the below link for how to install the intel RST driver via USB Flash drive.

After installing the intel RST driver, do not continue to install Windows. Unplug the USB Flash drive. Restart the computer.

If you still have issues, reset the bios setting to default settings and Restart. If you still can not boot Windows, please go to bios and turn off Intel rapid technology. If you can not find search VMD in the bios.

I hope the above steps helped you. In case of additional questions, reach out back to me, and I will be happy to help and try my best to resolve your issue. Thank you.

    Best,

    Mostafa
