Cannot authenticate to Active Directory from remote host using DIGEST-MD5

Trying to authenticate to AD from a remote host using DIGEST-MD5 gives me this error:

javax.naming.AuthenticationException: [LDAP: error code 49 - 8009030C: LdapErr: DSID-0C090590, comment: AcceptSecurityContext error, data 52e, v2580]

If I try to connect to the same server with the same credentials using simple authentication method, it works. Also, using DIGEST-MD5 is working with some other implementations of LDAP (like UnboundID).

Any idea what I can do to make DIGEST-MD5 work with AD?
