I can only suggest the free version software and I believe Recuva is good, however, you can find paid software on the internet that may work better than the free versions.

    Thanks for updating me, Firas.

I am afraid that if the certificate has not been exported, you can not decrypt them because this certificate was tied to your old user profile.

Regarding encrypting other folders, probably you selected "Apply changes to this folder, subfolders, and files" when you encrypted the folder.

Try using third-party recovery tools, hopefully, they recover your data.

Please feel free to ask if you have more questions

    Hi firas,

I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

May I know where did you get these files? Have you encrypted them by yourself? Have you formatted your Windows or deleted your user account so far?

Have you backed up the EFS certificate before wiping out the Windows?

Refer to How to Back Up Your File Encryption Certificate and Key in the non-Microsoft link below:

    https://smallbusiness.chron.com/encrypt-decrypt...

If you have lost it as well, unfortunately, there is no Microsoft native tool to recover the encrypted data except restoring from a backup if you created one.

Otherwise, you should use a third-party recovery tool like Recuva, it may recover your data but there is no guarantee for that.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
