now for the past few weeks, i am having major troubles with network. like when i connect to some wifi, it takes a long time to get connected to it and even after connecting to it, it doesn't let changes the status from connecting to connected.
i am unable to share hotspot from my laptop to smartphones. in my smartphones, even after entering the right password, it just says connecting and after some time, it just gives up.
I tried resetting all oof my network settings (settings>network and internet>advanced network setting>network reset>reset now) but it also does nothing... it says my pc needs to restart after 5 min and after my pc restarts, there is no sign of any reset.. nothing from my network settings reset through this..
then i turned to internet for a solution and ran a bunch of codes in cmd while giving it admin permission (netsh winsock reset, netsh int ip reset to name a few commands).

and after doing possibly everything i could do, i turned up here... any help regarding this problem will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

specific make and model of computer, desktop PC or laptop?

Go to Network Connections, right click on the network adapter connected to the internet > Properties > Sharing tab, post a screenshot.

Post a screenshot of the Windows error message when you try to enable mobile hotspot.

Do you use Microsoft or third party Firewall/Antivirus? Go to Device Manager>network adapters, uninstall the Media Tek MT7921 WiFi adapter and then restart the laptop.

After restarting, repeat the test I have already suggested and post the screenshot.

If you connect your laptop to the router via network cable, does the internet work properly?

Here's how to setup a WiFi network correctly. You'll be pleased to know that it's really not difficult.

In my experience with these forums, what I notice is that many people are trying to setup and manage their network using Windows. The reason why this isn't the best idea is that Windows doesn't create your network. Your network is created by your router or your hotspot, whichever is the case. Therefore, the router or hotspot is where you should be setting up and managing your network.

Your first step is to undo whatever setup you might have done in Windows, and start over. Get out the user manual for your router or hotspot and follow its directions for setting up a network. You'll probably have to reset your router or hotspot settings to defaults, but that's okay. After that, just follow the instructions in the user manual.

I'll only add that you need to pay attention your security settings. Your WiFi network(s) need to be encrypted, and the settings for your router or hotspot need to be password-protected.

i feel like i am not able to convey my problem quite clearly. so i will give it another go..

for the hotspot problem, i am talking about my laptop's hotspot which can share internet to other devices. now the problem here is when i try to connect to this hotspot network(my laptop's) then i cant connect to it. for example if i am connecting my smartphone to my pc's network then for some time it will just show connecting and after some time, it will just give up. it wont give me any error message.my smartphone just wont connect to my pc and this problem is with my pc because i tested this with many other smartphones and laptops and it all just went smoothly as it should be.

    now my next problem:

it can be clearly seen that the wifi is still connecting but in the lower corner, it is seen that i have already been connected to the network. and this goes on and on for quite some time.
or sometimes it just shows this:

and this problem is with my device because earlier it wasnt like that. everything worked smoothly about a month prior so i dont know what caused it but its really annoying. and even the menu from taskbar which has the menu like wifi and bluetooth malfunctions. but it worked fine before. with my current situation, even switching to another wifi network takes more than 5 min and yeah this problem is with mt pc because i tested this out with many different wifi networks and laptops and everything worked fine in other laptop but in my laptop, i got this problem with every single wifi network.

and my last problem is related to reset:
so i thought that if i am receiving only network related problems then maybe resetting all the network setting from my pc will make everything alright but i was wrong. i cant even reset my network settings (from settings>network and internet>advanced network setting>network reset>reset now) but i cant even reset it. when i use that setting, it says that my laptop will restart in 5 min and all my network settings will be reset but after the laptop automatically restarts, then there is no sign of change anywhere. this is a new problem for me because in the past, i have used the network reset setting many times and every time it worked as it was supposed to but now it isnt.

so as conclusion, i think that maybe a new windows update messed up my networks and now its giving me all this problems.

i dont know if i could clarify my problems but please if you understood even one of these problems then please help me because it is really annoying.

    thanks.
