why does my battery steadily decrease while it is plugged in and I'm working on my laptop? I thought it should be charging up not going down.

Hi, and thanks for reaching out. I am Zainab, an Independent Advisor and a Windows user like you. I'll be happy to help you out today.

I understand how important it is for you to resolve the battery-draining issue. Nothing to worry I will do my best to help you out.

    Kindly follow the steps below:

Unplug the charge and use the laptop until the battery drains to 15%.

Turn off the laptop and turn it back on after 30mins.

Once done, reinstall the battery drivers.

Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager> Select the arrow next to Batteries to expand it > Right-click on the Microsoft AC and ACPI driver and select Uninstall.

Restart your laptop so that Windows can automatically reinstall the battery drivers.

Also, make sure you have the latest BIOS update.

It has shut off again. It was plugged in and the battery check said it had an hour of time remaining at 3%, but it cut off at 0%. I don't understand.

It only has 3% available and it keeps telling me to plug in the adapter. Will the ste I s work on such a low percentage? The battery check was normal.
