Hello, I recently moved my windows 10 from hdd to ssd and it works pretty well, but I am getting white underscore on first 10 seconds on start up, then the system loads in normally. I wonder how could I have fix that. I also noticed that windows boot manager is still on my hdd and not ssd, but I know for a fact that Windows launches from ssd

    Hi Dawid,

Thank you for the screenshot, that indicates there is only one boot sector and it is on the wrong drive, it is caused by a known bug in the installation of the drive with the previous operating system is connected during the installation.

If anything happened to that HDD you would not be able to boot into Windows, really the only option to resolve this would be to disconnect the HDD temporarily and re-install Windows on the SSD.

    1. I did clean install from my flash drive as I had many problems with migrating the OS, so I used my flash drive to just install it as clean. And yes, HDD was still installed.

It's in Polish, but I am sure google translate will help. (Disk 0 is SSD, Disk 1 is HDD)

    Hi Dawid,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    1

What method did you use to move Windows from the HDD to the SSD, did you clean install Windows on the SSD and was the HDD still connected to the PC when you installed Windows?

    2

Right click your Start Button and open Disk Management from the resulting menu

Please provide a screenshot of the Disk Management window showing both drives in the bottom pane of Disk Management.
