Screen duplication issue, failure to detect second monitor in settings.

Hello,

My computer has a screen duplication issue. Both of my monitors are displaying the exact same screen. My mouse is duplicated as well, as in I have 2 mice, one per monitor. I installed the latest windows update to no avail. I have tried unplugging and re-plugging in the monitors. In settings, when I click "Detect" (for multiple displays) text shows stating "Didn't detect another display". I've attached some screenshot and a picture to demonstrate the problem. The red circles from the external picture is to show my double mouse. I have NOT updated my graphics card drivers yet and I have NOT updated my motherboard BIOS yet. Last time I tried these, the system had issues. However, if it comes down to it, I will try that route, with your guidance. Thank you for your help!

    Hello Tswimmie,

My name is Nada an independent advisor, and I'm here to help you.

I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue, and I will try my best to assist you.

Have you checked if your Display option is set to duplicate instead of extend via shortcut keys?

To check, please press Windows key + P and change the display option to Extend.

If the Extend option is not available, please update your display driver. you can go to the manufacturer website or you can try to update the driver from 3rd party driver pack solutions as well

    ie: Driver Pack Solutions (driverpack.io/en)

    I hope this helps.

Feel free to reply on this thread if you still need further assistance, and I'll be more than happy to assist you.
