Windows color issue

I have a very strange problem that just cropped up. My old backup computer running Windows 10 started showing strange background colors. For example, when I open a new Word document, the page is light blue. In file explorer, the background is blue. If I open a photo, the colors look fine. My desktop background picture looks fine. Is there some setting I inadvertently tweaked that is causing this. I have no idea where to look.

You are absolutely right. I was looking at the snip on the affected system. I took a screen shot with my phone. The background is much courser in this picture, but the color shows. Now this system is a tablet, so there is no graphics card to replace that I know of. Is there anything else you can think of for me to try?

    Hello BobKatcher12487,

Thank you for updating me with that information. I did not notice any light blue in file explorer and Word document. It looks normal to me.

Have you tried updating your graphics card?

If the issue persists, please try performing a System Restore at an earlier date where everything is still working.

Press Windows key+R to open Run then type: rstrui.exe

Press Enter. This will open System Restore

    Click the Next button.

Select the restore point at an earlier date where everything is still working.

    Click Next then Finish

    Kind regards,

    John DeV

John, Your suggested solution did not help my problem. I believe the system was working a couple days ago. I don't access it every day, so I can't be sure exactly when. I took a screen shot. It shows how a Word document appears, you can see file explorer, and you can see a photo opened in Microsoft Office. The photo looks fine. The others look whacky. Also note the desktop background is what you had me change it to, so I believe I did that correctly.
