Taskbar / Tray

Question

The taskbar has suddenly changed from the way it's always been displayed. Previously all pinned icons were in a single line but they now appear to be spaced farther apart which would account for the two rows.. The tray now shows the word "Desktop" and there is not sufficient room for the usual 6-7 icons that would normally be there, there is only room for 3 icons now. . I have no idea what caused this but is there a way to restore it to the way it was? Thank you.

I am Jaspreet Singh.

You have resized the taskbar. Bring the pointer to the upper edge of taskbar until it turns into a double headed arrow, press and hold the left mouse button and drag it downwards. That should clear the issue.
