Changing Name of Teams Channel breaks it

I have the same problem as this: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/0d33b003-e131-46b1-873a-7aed4ff50981/after-renaming-a-channel-in-teams-it-has-disappeared?forum=msteams

It appears that since naming the teams channel, I can no longer access documents under Files regardless of the app I use. The old name is listed. In Sharepoint or the desktop, a folder with the new name appears and a folder with the old name also appears (empty).

Any fixes for this?

    @Jason Yates ,

    You could try the following steps to fix this problem:

    1. Delete the newly created folder in SharePoint.
    2. Rename the old folder to the current channel name.

    Then, it will remake connections between Files and Stuff channel and Teams Resources folder.
