I received a message that stated that McAfee was taking the responsibilities away from Microsoft Defender, so I uninstalled McAfee to permit Microsoft Defender to be my main source of antivirus protection. However, soon after doing an uninstallation of McAfee and a Windows restart, I'm not able to use Microsoft Defender to run a quick scan. I am now not able to permit any scans. When I click on "run a quick scan," nothing happens. Additionally, when I view my security at a glance, everything shows up blank and empty. I also keep getting notifications that my local security authority protection is off, and when I try to turn it on, it does not show up as an option in my Windows security.

Hello Aderita,
My name is Nada an independent advisor, and I'm here to help you.
I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue, and I will try my best to assist you.
Make sure that your system is updated and no pending updates. If you need to update, check the link below.

On your windows defender click the “Virus and threat protection” on that part you can select what scan options you want, just like Quick scan, Full Scan, Custom scan, and Microsoft Defender offline scan.

And on the error shows just dismiss only.
Hope it helps.
