I actually had many problems related to my mic, but they were fixed but this time it is different. Whenever I try to connect my microphone, it doesn't recognize it. I mean even with any other mic. I also performed a system restore but that didn't help. I have a windows 11 and it is a dell laptop.

    Hello Greg,

Well as I was going to update the drivers, I found out that the microphone driver was missing so I then installed the Realtek audio driver and the problem is fixed. Thank you for the support.

Hello Muhammad. I'm Greg, here to help you with this.

    1. Here are all fixes for Windows 11 microphone not recognized:

    https://allthings.how/6-ways-to-fix-microphone-...

    https://www.makeuseof.com/windows-11-microphone...

    1. Update the Sound controller driver from the Dell Downloads page here: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Produ... for your Dell Service Tag on sticker located as shown here: https://www.dell.com/support/contents/us/en/04/...

While there compare to make sure you also have the latest BIOS, Chipset, Display, Network and all other drivers. You can also run Dell Support Assist to auto-update your drivers: https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/prod...

If no newer then uninstall the Sound controller driver in Device Manager, restart PC to reinstall it.

Next go into Device Manager, right click Sound controller driver to Upgrade driver, then Automatically.

If nothing newer found in Windows Update then try again but this time choose Upgrade Driver > Browse > Let Me Pick to try all previous drivers queued there.

    1. Then do all of Step 2 for microphone.
    2. If none of those work then Go over Windows 11 with this Performance Checklist to make sure the install is set up correctly, optimized for best performance, and to find and fix problems:

Let me know if you have any questions or I can help performing any of the above steps. If you'll post back detailed results it will help me determine what else needs to be tried.
