Add trusted domain group to a group in trusting domain

Hi:

I have a scenario

I have domain A (trusting domain) trust domain B (trusted domain)

in domain B have a group: groupB (domain local)
in domain A have a group: groupA (global)

Then, I open groupA properties, in member of tag, I want to add groupB
I added it no error message, but when I reopen the groupA properties, in member of tag, the groupB does not display here

Why I do the operation is

I have a vm in domain A, I want to use mstsc tool to login the vm using user in domain B
To do this, it needs to modify remote access allowed user from control panel
For some reasons, I only add domain A \groupA
But the login user is in domain B\groupB

So I try to add groupB to groupA to solve the issue
But it seems have some problems of my operations.

How can I accomplish my scenario?

Hi,

Since Group is a domain local group, it can't be used in other domains (Domain)
It means that the domain local group can be member of other Domain Local groups from the same domain. **
And the group A (global) in domain A can have the Accounts **from the same domain
other Global groups from the same domain as members.

To achieve your goal:

Firstly, you may try to add the login user to a global group: Goup D in Domain B.
Create a domain local group: Group C in domain A.
Add Group C to the remote access allowed user list.
Add Group D to the Group C
